With my two decades experience in the power sector at PFC and later working with Indian Railways, I envisioned diversifying into green power and economical energy procurement for Railways under the Indian Electricity Act, 2003. After gaining strong support from the Railway Board and analyzing infrastructure, legal, and commercial aspects, we established REMC Ltd. as a joint venture between Indian Railways and RITES in August 2013. Overcoming initial challenges, REMC Ltd. has excelled in delivering results and advancing wind and solar power projects for Railways.
